Things I have never grown out of.

Morning folks,

As I approach the start of my masters course at university, I have begun to notice that I still retain many of my old habits, mannerisms and interests I have had since about the age of 10.

First and foremost. Pokemon. I only ever play two games, and those are Minecraft and Pokemon. Currently I own Black, which I'm crawling through. I don't know what it is about the games, maybe the fact you can play it at different depths. I myself play at a ridiculous depth, choosing specific pokemon for their gender, type, ability, nature etc. I also enjoy buying things like Zinc and what not and customising them. It makes me feel like a big kid. But I know lot's of other people play, so I guess it's alright.

The Tuck. If you are unfamiliar with the tuck, I feel sorry for you. It's the action when you're lying in bed, and you tuck the end of the covers under your feet, creating a sort of cocoon effect. You can also do this with the sides of the covers. I know you want to try it.

Canonized Foot-Tapping. When listening to music, I not only tap one foot, but I tap the other just out of time. I don't know why, it has a rather calming effect on me. Maybe I like to know that I can keep time in and out of signature? I'm not sure.

Coin-ing. Okay, so I don't have an amazing name for this. Since I have a few rings that I like to wear, I like flipping coins in between my fingers, so that it hits the rings and produces different sounds. There's a percussionist in us all!

Stirring Straws. If you've ever ordered a coffee from McDonalds, you'll be familiar with the stirring rods they have there. If you haven't had a close inspection, they have small holes that run through them, and can be used as a straw. I have to use them if I stir in sugar, it's almost a compulsion

Well, I think that's all of them that I've kept for a while. Feel free to post your own habits and what not.

Have a great day, I'll see you on the other side.

  6. The tuck is something that I've only just started doing in the last year or so, and I'm 30. I quite like and will probably do it for years to come.
